RTO made fun!

As the pandemic was slowly coming to an end, reporting onsite was starting to resurface. To help our employees adapt, the employee engagement committee at Via Appia kicked off fun-themed-onsite days to make RTO fun and exciting.

Taho Tuesdays

We arranged for a taho vendor to join us for a day to treat our employees. Not only did it fulfill their cravings, but it also provided an opportunity for our team to bond. Some even reminisced about their favorite taho stories, sharing nostalgic tales of chasing after Manong Taho during their childhood.

Sorbetes Wednesday

On a Wednesday, we delighted everyone with ‘sorbetes’! We brought in an ice cream vendor for the day to satisfy our employees’ cravings with a nostalgic treat. But this wasn’t your modern packaged ice cream; it was the classic childhood street-style coned delight that every kid loved.

Pizza Friday

One Friday, we decided to treat everyone to a delicious pizza feast! All of them enjoyed this classic office treat while others engaged in polite arguments about whether pineapples and pizza go together. It was a perfect blend of delicious slices and friendly banter.

We had a lot more themed-onsite days such as Kakanin & Palamig Wednesday, Tusok-Tusok Tuesday, Coffee, Donuts Wednesday, and Breakfast Wednesday. All these activities were meant to give our employees a fun and good headstart as our organization gradually introduces more Return-to-Office (RTO) days.

Industry Knowledge Sharing Sessions

At Via Appia we conduct Knowledge Sharing Sessions as a form of Employee engagement aimed for educating employees. Subject matter experts such as Project managers and consultants gather and share their insights and learnings from their recent projects.

They share with the audience how they handled challenging situations, brainstormed ideas and developed digital solutions for their clients. It was a productive and comprehensive social gathering that fostered innovation and collaboration. Everybody had a great time, learned a lot and enjoyed a delightful treat.

Peer Group Kamustahan

When you join Via Appia, you get to be a part of a peer group which comprises of members from different departments in the organization. So, you have your team from the department your assigned to and you have a peer group.

The goal is to foster meaningful conversations and nurture relationships that go beyond work. A safe space for individuals to talk about topics outside work and connect personally.

3. Open Communication

Work-life harmony can thrive when you have leaders who are approachable and transparent with the team members. What this means is that leaders are approachable and always have an open door to adress any employee concern.
